Take the hassle out of barrel changes and action work with this two-piece Davidson bundle, pairing our competition-grade barrel vise with our Remington 700–pattern action wrench. Built for serious shooters and builders, this set is ideal for benchrest, silhouette, match, and other competition rifle applications.
Barrel Vise (Competition Use)
Made from 2024-T3511 aluminum with hardened steel studs and Grade 8 nuts and washers, the Davidson Barrel Vise delivers strong, repeatable clamping power while remaining durable for regular shop use. It accommodates barrels from .775″ to 1.25″ diameter and tapers up to .3″ per side per foot, and includes two 3/8″ mounting holes for secure bench mounting. A packet of anti-seize compound is included for use between the studs and nuts.
Note: While extremely durable, it is not intended for factory-tightened barrels that have never been removed.
Action Wrench (Remington 700 Pattern)
The Davidson Action Wrench is machined from 12L14 mild steel and zinc plated. Designed to fit the Remington 700 action, it emulates the bolt lugs and features two grooves to clear the bolt release, fitting both right-hand and left-hand actions. A 3/4″ hex is machined on the end for use with a wrench or socket, and the hex end is shaped to help clear stocks with a high comb. Overall length is 8.5″, with 7″ entering the action.
This wrench may fit other actions that share Remington 700 bolt lug dimensions—compare your measurements to ensure compatibility. Our wrenches are made to .984″ diameter x .435″ thick.
